Megan's 1st Day of Preschool!

Today was Megan's 1st day of preschool! We can hardly believe that our "baby" is already in school! She was so excited to go to school and she just couldn't understand why she wasn't able to start school when Rebekah did. At last her day came and she did just great! From what she told us, her day included playing with toys, coloring with markers, making a craft, having a snack, and playing on the playground. Here are some pictures of her day...

We had a little "1st Day of Preschool" celebration when we got home with pizza, cupcakes, and a special present!

Rebekah's 1st Day of Kindergarten!

Today was Rebekah's first day of kindergarten! It is so hard to believe that we are already to this point in her life...seems like not long ago we were in the hospital holding a beautiful little baby that we couldn't believe was ours! Funny how these moments in life bring out the sentimental side in us. Anyway, before the tears come again, she ended up having a great day and adjusted very well to being at school. Here are some highlights of her big day...

Her teacher this year is Mr. Herron. You can see him here on the right side of the picture. He is a guy teacher, he is young, and this is his first year teaching. We are very interested to see how this goes!

The Indiana Dunes

This past weekend we took the girls up to the Indiana Dunes. Neither one of them had ever been to a beach...actually Rebekah was at Virginia Beach at 9 months old (that dosen't count!) They truly had a blast and we had a blast watching them! We also spent the night at a hotel with a pretty cool pool. We hope you enjoy the pictures of our very fun weekend!

Playing in the waves with Daddy. It took them a while (especially Rebekah...Megan is braver about these things) to be brave enough to stand there and let the waves "get" them.

Megan was ready to just walk on into the water....we had to watch her closely!

Playing in the sand. Mommy tried to make a sand castle to inspire them, but all they wanted to do was step on it and crush it or pour water on it...oh, well.

Rebekah is so proud of herself...Daddy taught her how to "swim" using the ducky in the big pool. You can see the concentration on her face.

Megan preferred to stick to the kiddie pool...what a goofy smile!

The kiddie pool had some water features including a froggy slide...here they both are sliding down....they did a lot of sliding on this frog!

Megan is enjoying the water in the kiddie pool. She did go in the big pool, but wanted Daddy to let go of her and let her swim. Of course, Daddy knew better than that so Megan decided that she would just stay in the kiddie pool. She can be so stubborn!
